Terms

Payment Terms

• • Payments can be made by e-transfer sent to hello@highfiveexteriorcleaning.com, or by cheque mailed to our office address on the invoice.

• • Payments can be made by credit card, but there will be a processing fee of 2.4% automatically added to the bill.

• • Residential Net 30 – Payment for all residential work is due 30 days after the work is completed. If payment is not received within 30 days, there will be a late payment fee of $10 per week.

• • Commercial Net 60 – Payment for commercial or strata work is due 60 days after the work is completed. If payment is not received within 60 days, there will be a late payment fee of $50 per week.

• • A fee of 5% of the contract price may be levied on any job canceled more than 10 days after the signing of this agreement and/or before the agreed-upon commencement date.

• • Interest at a rate of 24% per annum will be charged on any outstanding amounts payable.

General Terms

• • The booking date is not binding. Due to conditions beyond our control, we may not be able to meet this date. To service all our customers best, we sometimes need to move jobs around based on weather.

• • All quotes for House Washing, Roof Cleaning, Gutter Cleaning, and Window Washing are for the main house or building only. Detached garages and other structures are not included (unless otherwise stated). 

• • This quote assumes that adequate water pressure is available on site. In rare cases where the water outflow rate is not sufficient, additional charges may apply to cover the cost of rental equipment.

• • If a condition occurs that was not foreseeable through the visual inspection, an extra charge may be levied to cover additional expenses. This includes but is not limited to expenses incurred from the rental of lift equipment necessary to reach sections of property not accessible by conventional ladders.

• • Before and after photos of the work done may be used for company promotional material unless the owner specifically mentions they are not okay with this.

• • For strata projects, we include in the notice that occupants must clean up dog feces from their backyards. If this isn’t completed, our team will knock on the door and ask them to do so. If they aren’t home or aren’t able to do so, then our team will clean it up but will charge a $25 fee (+GST) per unit.

House Washing Terms

• • Permanent stains cannot be removed. Permanent stains are defined as stains that are not removed with either two coats of our SH solution or high pressure with a 40° tip from 2 inches away.

Roof Cleaning Terms

• • In some cases, pre-existing moss growth has created small holes and leaks in roof shingles. In rare cases, removing the moss exposes and ‘unplugs’ the holes which makes the leaks more noticeable. High Five Exterior Cleaning is not liable for damage that occurs from such pre-existing problems.

• • On cement or tile roofs, we are not responsible for tiles that crack or break while walking on the roof. The tiles will not crack from the washing process, but occasionally a tile will crack from walking on the roof. There is no way to avoid this. Tiles can be replaced afterward at an additional cost.

• • Asphalt Roof 2-Year Guarantee: If moss remains 6 months after treatment, we will come back and either remove or re-treat the section(s) where there is still moss, free of charge. Guarantee work will be completed during the month of February and/or August.  Exceptions to the guarantee: properties residing in a greenbelt, any section(s) of the roof under constant exposure to moisture (i.e.: where high gutters drain onto the lower shingles), any section(s) heavily covered or in contact with tree foliage. 

Window Washing Terms

• • Paint over-spray and other similar splatter may not be removed (unless otherwise stated). Other imperfections in the glass may not be possible to clean and restore. 

Gutter Emptying Terms

• • Quotes for gutter cleaning assume there are no gutter guards. The price listed does not include removing and cleaning under gutter guards unless otherwise specified.

• • Quotes for gutter cleaning do not include patio cover gutters unless otherwise stated.

• • Quotes for gutter cleaning assume that the roof shingles and gutters are installed with the correct spacing. If there isn’t enough space to get our hands and tools in to clean out the gutters, there may be additional charges.

Pressure Washing Terms

• • Permanent stains cannot be removed. Permanent stains are defined as stains that are not removed with either two coats of our SH solution or high pressure with a 40° tip from 2 inches away.

• • If we are cleaning pavers or brick where vegetation needs to be removed from the cracks, it is not our responsibility to re-sand the cracks afterward.

Permanent Roof Anchor Terms

• • Permanent roof anchors and maintenance are the responsibility of the homeowner after installation.

• • It is recommended for homeowners to have workers check the security and safety of the roof anchor prior to each use.
