Frequently Asked Questions

We can provide an estimate for exterior cleaning remotely using a few methods:

  1. We use Google Earth to measure your house’s dimensions accurately.
  2. If your house isn’t visible on Google Earth, we’ll request photos to assess the scope of work.
  3. We’ll discuss with you the extent of dirtiness and when the last service was performed.
  4. Quotes will be based on the total measurement (square or linear footage), the complexity of the service, and the intensity of cleaning needed.

Typically, exterior cleaning services are not significantly affected by weather delays. Most tasks can proceed even in rainy conditions. For roof treatments, as long as rainfall remains below 5-10mm on the scheduled day, we can proceed as planned. However, if temperatures drop below freezing, we may need to postpone the service. If rescheduling becomes necessary for any reason, we will promptly inform you.

Soft washing presents several advantages over pressure washing for house cleaning. Soft washing is an efficient method where the solution does 90% of the work, and then a brush is used where needed, and the solution is then rinsed off with very low pressure. This gentle approach prevents surface scarring while effectively eliminating mold, mildew, and algae. Soft washing is suitable for a variety of surfaces, including vinyl siding, stucco, painted wood, and more.

We can assure you that the solution is pet-friendly as it is biodegradable and poses no harm to your children or pets. If you’re familiar with “30-second cleaner,” our solution operates similarly, actively removing organic growth during application and subsequently biodegrading after a short period of time. Additionally, our technicians take precautionary steps to protect your plants and belongings before the cleaning process begins.

While it’s not required for you to be home during the appointment, many clients find it beneficial for direct communication with our technicians. At our company, we prioritize both service excellence and clear communication. If you are home, our technicians will provide an explanation of the process before beginning the work. Moreover, at the conclusion of the service, our technicians conduct a walkthrough with you to ensure your complete satisfaction. If you’re unable to be home, don’t worry; we can still carry out the work efficiently. In such cases, we’ll send you a list of necessary preparations based on the services requested. Additionally, we’ll provide you with a designated start time for the cleaning appointments. If you are not home at the end of the job, we are excited to announce that we are now accepting emoji high fives (in lieu of the real one), which let us know that you are 100% satisfied with the service. 😉

The frequency of gutter cleaning depends on various factors, including your location, surrounding vegetation, and weather patterns. As a general guideline, it’s recommended to clean your gutters around twice a year, ideally in the spring and fall. However, if you live in a residential area with few trees, you likely only need cleaning once a year or so. Additionally, if you notice signs of clogs or overflowing gutters between scheduled cleanings, it’s important to address them promptly to prevent potential damage to your home. Regular maintenance helps ensure your gutters remain clear and functional, protecting your property from water damage.

When cleaning windows by hand, our team follows a meticulous 5-point process to ensure thorough and effective cleaning. First, the exterior surfaces of the glass doors and windows are washed by hand, addressing any dirt, grime, or buildup on the surface. This initial wash serves as the foundation for achieving pristine results. Next, the windows are carefully dried with a squeegee, removing excess water and leaving behind a streak-free finish. This step ensures that the windows are crystal clear and free from any water spots or streaks. Finally, our team meticulously details the windows with a microfiber towel, addressing any remaining smudges or imperfections to achieve a flawless appearance. This comprehensive 5-point process guarantees that your windows receive the highest level of care and attention to detail, resulting in windows that look immaculate and gleaming.

When utilizing a water fed pole for window cleaning, our team employs high-quality fiberglass poles that extend up to 40 feet in length. These poles allow us to reach and clean windows on upper floors or otherwise difficult-to-access areas without the need for ladders or scaffolding, ensuring both efficiency and safety. The exterior surfaces of the windows and window frames are washed using these poles, which are equipped with bristled brushes specifically designed for effective cleaning. The windows are thoroughly rinsed with deionized water, which prevents mineral deposits from causing streaks on the glass, leaving behind a crystal-clear finish. Additionally, accessible windows are meticulously touched up with a microfiber towel to ensure any remaining spots or smudges are addressed, resulting in windows that are not only clean but also streak-free and gleaming. Overall, our water fed pole method offers a convenient and effective solution for achieving sparkling clean windows while prioritizing safety and quality.

After moss treatment, it typically takes between 2-6 months for all of the moss to release and fall off your roof. This process can be influenced by factors such as wind and rainfall, which aid in the natural removal of moss. During treatment, the moss and organic growth are killed off within the first minute, often resulting in the moss initially turning white (although it may revert to its original color over time). If you still notice moss on your roof after three months, we recommend reaching out to us for a follow-up inspection. We’ll assess the situation and determine if a second treatment is necessary to ensure your roof remains clean and moss-free.

Yes, roof treatment is somewhat weather dependent. It cannot be conducted during rainy conditions; typically, if the forecast predicts more than 5-10 mm of rain in a day, we postpone roof cleaning jobs. Additionally, it’s best to avoid conducting roof treatments during hot months like June, July, and August, as the high temperatures increase the risk of the treatment inadvertently getting on plants or other surfaces. While we can still perform roof treatments during these months, extra precautions must be taken. Generally, roof cleaning is most effective when done in early spring or early fall when weather conditions are more favorable.

No, our cleaning solution will not harm your plants. We take careful precautions to protect all surrounding areas, including pre-soaking them with water to prevent damage from overspray. Additionally, the solution we use is biodegradable, meaning it breaks down mildew and algae during application before degrading and being rinsed off surfaces. You can rest assured that your plants and garden are in safe hands with us!

No, we do not pressure wash your house. Instead, we utilize soft washing techniques to ensure a gentle yet effective cleaning process. While our technicians do use a pressure washer as a power source, the pressure applied to distribute and rinse off our cleaning solution is equivalent to that of a garden hose. In cases where stubborn stains are present, certain areas may be treated or cleaned with medium to high pressure, but only after thorough testing to ensure the safety of your surfaces.

Answer: We can pressure wash a wide range of surfaces, including concrete, brick, vinyl, and wood. The suitability of pressure washing for each surface depends on the pressure used, and our experienced team knows precisely how much pressure they can safely apply. By pre-treating surfaces, we’re able to wash a variety of surfaces with minimal pressure, effectively avoiding damage to concrete and stonework. Our specialized approach ensures that even delicate materials are thoroughly cleaned without any risk of harm. So whether it’s concrete driveways, stone pathways, or other surfaces, you can rely on us to deliver exceptional results safely and efficiently.

With our methods, we can effectively lighten stubborn stains caused by motor oil and remove some of the oil residue from the porous concrete. However, if complete removal of such stains is what you’re going for, the most effective method is to engage a company equipped with a hot-water pressure washing system. It’s important to note that permanent stains, defined as those not removed by two coats of our SH solution or high pressure with a 40° tip from 2 inches away, cannot be removed entirely.

To prepare for soft washing, residents should ensure that all doors and windows are closed to prevent any water ingress into the property. Additionally, it’s important to move vehicles out of the driveway or position them at least 15 feet away from the house to avoid any potential overspray. Placing towels inside doorways can further safeguard against water seepage. Items such as potted plants, patio cushions, shoes, and other belongings susceptible to bleach should be either moved indoors or positioned at least 20 feet away from the house. For plants that cannot be relocated, we will pre-soak them with water to prevent damage from bleach overspray. In cases where houses are closely situated, residents are encouraged to inform neighbors about the scheduled work to ensure everyone is prepared accordingly. These precautions help ensure a smooth and successful service experience for all involved.
